Haigakura Anime Announced for October 2024 Release Date Featuring Ichiyo and Tenko Character PV

On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for the Haigakura anime shared a new character promotional video featuring Ichiyo and Tenko, two key characters from the series. The video confirmed that the anime will be released on October 7, 2024.

Produced by Typhoon Graphics, the Haigakura anime adapts Shinobu Takayama’s Japanese manga of the same name. Initially serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Zero Sum WARD magazine from January 2008 to May 2015, the series later shifted to the Zero-sum Online manga site. A total of 16 tankobon volumes have been published.

Haigakura anime confirms October 7, 2024, release date

The official staff streamed the character promotional video for Ichiyo (voiced by Takeo Otsuka) and Tenko (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa) to confirm the upcoming Haigakura anime release date on October 7, 2024.

The broadcast details indicate that episodes of the Haigakura anime will air every Monday on Tokyo MX at 10 pm JST, Sun TV at 11:30 pm JST, and BS Asahi channel at 11:24 pm JST, starting October 7, 2024.

An advanced screening of the first episode of this fantasy anime will take place on September 22, 2024, at United Cinemas Toyosu in Tokyo, Japan. The character PV highlights the main duo, Ichiyo and Tenko, in stunning visuals.

Cast and staff for the Haigakura anime

Kaito Ishikawa takes on the role of Ichiyo, the main protagonist, while Takeo Otsuka voices Tenko, another central character. Lynn provides the voice for Hakushurin, and Rie Kugiyama plays Kaka. Hiro Shimono portrays Ransaiwa, with Ryota Suzuki voicing Sanu. Satoshi Hino features as Sonto, and Mutsumi Tamura voices Ryu. Ayumu Murase plays Heikan, and Ryohei Kimura adds his voice to Hiki.

Junichi Yamamoto directs the anime at Typhoon Graphics, with Yu Murai supervising the script. Masaki Sato serves as the character designer, and Yuki Kurihara handles the music composition. The opening theme, “Chaser,”is performed by MADKID, while Hikaru Makishama sings the ending theme, “Phoenix.”

The Haigakura anime, based on Shinobu Takayama’s manga series, transports viewers to a fantastical world where Gods and mortals coexist. Ichiyo, a young boy, embarks on a quest to capture deities who have escaped throughout this magical realm, partnering with Tenko to find four divine beings that hold the key to the realm’s peace or despair.
