The decision to privatize the episode appears to be tied to the recent public backlash against Han Ga-in, who has gained notoriety related to terms such as “Dochi-mom” (hedgehog mom), “Daechi-mom” (referring to education-centric parents in Daechi-dong), and “overzealous mom”.This negative sentiment has seemingly influenced TVING’s choice to temporarily remove the episode.

Involvement in “Daechi-Mom”Controversy

Recently, a fake documentary featuring comedian Lee Soo-ji, focusing on the concept of “Daechi-dong Moms, ” gained viral traction, inadvertently linking Han Ga-in to the ensuing controversy. This situation escalated due to a previous video showing her driving her children to tutoring sessions, which led to a slew of derogatory comments about her family. In response, Han Ga-in made the video private to shield her children from harm.

Official Statement from Production Team

In a statement to Star News, Ahn Joo-hee, the producer from Honeybee Studio responsible for Han Ga-in’s YouTube content, confirmed that the controversial video has indeed been removed, with no plans to upload it again. Ahn elaborated, stating, “The decision was made due to the excessive malicious comments targeting Han Ga-in’s children, as we prioritized their protection.”

Han Ga-in Defends Her Parenting

During her appearance on “You Quiz, ” Han Ga-in took the opportunity to address the prevailing narrative regarding her parenting style, stating, “People assume I pressure my kids to study excessively due to my public persona, but that is entirely untrue.” Despite her clarifications, the negative comments regarding her parenting choices have persisted.
