Han So Hee Purchases Luxury Penthouse in Gyeonggi Artists’ Village for 5.24 Billion KRW

As reported by Herald Economy and confirmed through court registry documents on the 20th, Han So Hee has secured a 203㎡ duplex penthouse at the luxurious ‘Arcadia Signature’ complex in Acheon-dong, Guri City, Gyeonggi Province. The purchase, made on August 21st, cost her 5.24 billion KRW (about 4.12 million USD).

Following the payment completion on September 30th, Han So Hee officially took possession of the property, which is supported by a mortgage of 1.1 billion KRW (around 860,000 USD) from a commercial banking institution.

Considering that standard lending practices typically cap loans at 110% to 120% of the borrowed amount, it is speculated that she financed approximately 1 billion KRW (approximately 790,000 USD) for the penthouse acquisition.

Prior to this acquisition, Han So Hee lived in the nearby “Villa de Grium W,” which she purchased for 1.95 billion KRW (1.53 million USD) in cash back in December 2021, drawing significant attention at that time.

The Arcadia Signature complex, which was completed in May of the previous year, offers a select number of eight luxury residences, with each unit priced between 4 to 5 billion KRW. This exclusive development features two penthouses, with Han So Hee’s being the standout duplex that includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an attic, and a rooftop terrace. The penthouse provides stunning views of Achasan, Yongmasan, and the Han River.

Acheul Village, where this upscale complex is situated, is an emerging affluent neighborhood, just a 15-minute drive from Seoul’s Gangnam district. This area is home to numerous celebrities, such as actor couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, actress Oh Yeon Seo, and soccer player Kim Min Jae.

Once classified as a greenbelt zone until 2006, the area has since transformed into a hub for single-family homes and opulent villas. Known historically as an “Artists’ Village,” it has attracted esteemed artists like the late novelist Park Wan Suh, painter Lee Sung Ja, and printmaker Choi Ji Sook, making their homes here for many years.
