Although the official staff for the anime has not yet announced the release date, cast and staff, production studio, and other relevant details, it has been confirmed that Crunchyroll will stream the anime once it is aired. As previously mentioned, this information has not yet been made public by the official staff.

The renowned anime streaming platform will be broadcasting the shojo anime series in North America, Central America, South America, Oceania, Africa, the Middle East, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Europe, and India.

In addition to announcing the confirmation of the anime adaptation and unveiling the project’s teaser visual, the official team responsible for the anime also released a statement from Hana to Yume magazine’s editorial department.

Based on the feedback, the editorial department had previously consulted with Hisaya Nakajo about the project before her passing. The author had closely monitored the development of the character designs and storylines, ensuring that they aligned with her vision for the Hana-Kimi anime.

Regrettably, the editorial team will not be able to personally witness the project’s completion with the author. Nevertheless, they have reassured fans that they have been collaborating closely with the production staff to fulfill the late author’s vision. Thus, they eagerly encourage the manga’s readers to anticipate the upcoming anime.

As stated previously, the Hana-Kimi anime faithfully adapts the storyline from Hisaya Nakajo’s shojo manga series. The focal point of the anime is Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese-American track-and-field prodigy who enrolls in an all-boys school in Japan, posing as a boy in order to be near her idol, Izumi Sano.

Despite being satisfied with Izumi as her classmate, Mizuki is surprised when the boy ends up becoming her roommate. As a girl, Mizuki now has to keep her identity hidden from everyone, while her classmates and others struggle to understand and come to terms with her, causing them to question their own orientation.
