The previously announced lead actors, Minori Fujidera and Miyuri Shimabukuro, have been joined by additional cast members, completing what is expected to be the central ensemble of the series. A new key visual has also been revealed, showcasing all seven of the main characters in a classroom setting.

The first trailer for the Hana wa Saku anime spotlights Tonakishima island, the primary backdrop for the story. Central characters Hana Haruyama and Mizuki Usurai are featured prominently, with Hana voiced by Minori Fujidera and Mizuki by Miyuri Shimabukuro. Newly revealed cast members include Fuka Izumi as An Natsue, Shoya Chiba as Shudai Toga, Seiichiro Yamashita as Matsuyuki Akiyama, Kiyono Yasuno as Ryoko Totonoi, and Taito Ban as Setaro Hakoyama.

This anime series is based on the manga “Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku”by author Ayano Takeda and illustrator Musshu, which translates to “FLOWER AND ASURA.”The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump seinen magazine since June 2021 and remains ongoing.
The story is set on Tonakishima, a small island with a population of just 600. The main character, Hana, is a high school girl who enjoys hosting recitals and frequently conducts reading sessions for the island’s children. Mizuki, the president of the Broadcasting Club, recognizes Hana’s enchanting talent for storytelling and invites her to join the club, leading Hana to embark on various new experiences alongside Mizuki and the other members.
