Has Min Hee-jin Never Mentioned BLACKPINK as HYBE’s Target Amidst Rumors?

On April 25, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin held a press conference to address speculation about the ongoing feud between HYBE and ADOR. During the conference, she revealed multiple statements and wrongdoings made by HYBE.

After the press conference, several posts surfaced alleging that Min Hee-jin had brought up HYBE paying for NewJeans’ brand deals in an effort to imitate and rival BLACKPINK.

A post also featured pictures from the press conference, asserting that the texts in the images suggest Bang Si-hyuk’s desire to make “everyone forget about BLACKPINK”.

Despite the outcry from BLACKPINK fans on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), it should be noted that Min Hee-jin never actually mentioned the group.

Specifically, the conversation between Min Hee-jin and Bang Si-hyuk in the screenshot revolved around Min Hee-jin’s character and her request to Bang Si-hyuk, without any mention of BLACKPINK.

Furthermore, the assertions regarding HYBE’s involvement in NewJeans’ brand deal were not originally made during Min Hee-jin’s press conference. Instead, they originated from a review on the BLIND platform, which curated feedback from credible employees across multiple organizations.

Therefore, it can be concluded that the assertions made about BLACKPINK were not substantiated and should not be treated as factual.
