The Hazure Skill anime is the official TV adaptation of Hannyu’s original web novel series by the same name, which started in May 2020 and continues to this day. Additionally, a manga adaptation illustrated by Air Matsukoto commenced in July 2021 and remains ongoing, as does a light novel adaptation illustrated by Yasutaka Isekawa that started in May 2022.
This fantasy narrative centers around Light, who aspires to be celebrated as the greatest adventurer. Together with his companion Lena, they pursue their dreams by consuming skill fruits, although these fruits can be lethal if ingested more than once. Lena rapidly ascends to S-rank status, obtaining the Sword Saint skill, while Light acquires the Nut Master skill, which unfortunately only assists him in nut farming, his means of sustenance. A misstep occurs when Light accidentally eats a second skill fruit, but instead of facing death, he gains the same Sword Saint skill as Lena, paving the way for him to realize his ambitions.
