Despite differing opinions among fans, Boruto’s post-timeskip design has sparked much discussion. While some view it as a recycled version of adult Sasuke’s design, the majority of the fandom agrees that it is a marked upgrade that aligns well with the darker tone of the series.

The cosplay that was showcased at Jump Carnival 2024 has sparked a lot of conversation within the fandom. This is due to the fact that it is one of the rare cosplays of the series’ main character that has been seen since the entire series was released.

Timeskip Boruto Cosplay Creates Frenzy Among Fandom

The design of Naruto’s son is based on the appearance of adult Sasuke, with the inclusion of key elements such as the sword and overcoat. However, it also includes personalized details that make it distinct to him. Despite being positively received by fans, the new design has only been featured on manga covers and in manga panels.

Despite the monthly release of new chapters, the fandom has noticed a scarcity of media and fan art featuring the updated timeskip design.

A cosplayer recently wore the new post-timeskip design for the protagonist, generating much praise from the fandom. This 2024 cosplay event has sparked extensive discussion among fans, as previously mentioned.

Fan Reaction to the Cosplay

Despite the series’ lack of popularity, some fans commended this cosplay for perfectly capturing the timeskip look, including the essential cape in the new design.

A fan pointed out that the series has consistently improved in its narrative and influence since the timeskip, indicating that it will continue to do so in the future.

“Since boruto got out this timeskip the motion it been gettin been insane,”one fan mentioned.

Some fans also pointed out that Naruto’s successor’s design surpasses the designs of other shonen titles in the new generation. Additionally, many fans expressed their excitement about the growing fanbase of the series, believing that it could potentially attract new fans.

“Damm, he looks drippy as hell, I’m telling you man Boruto’s fit in terms of new gen is unmatched,”one fan wrote.

“I’m thankful that more people are reading and celebrating Boruto. I hope with more cosplay this may interest new readers read the manga,”one fan said.

Despite the admiration of a significant portion of the fandom for the cosplayer’s portrayal of Naruto’s successor, there were also comments from fans about the lack of enthusiasm from the audience and the relatively low popularity of the series, as evidenced by the subdued response to the cosplay.

The release date for Chapter 13 of the Blue Vortex manga is August 20, 2024. It will be accessible for reading on Shueisha’s MANGAPlus platform at that time.
