On Sunday, July 21, 2024, the website for the television series Headhunted to Another World anime was launched. This also included the release of important promotional material and the announcement of a 2025 release date. The website began streaming a 90-second promotional video for the series, along with a key visual featuring main characters Dennosuke Uchimura and Ulmandra, as well as the Demon King.
Furthermore, the Headhunted to Another World anime series has officially announced its main cast members and key staff, such as the director and animation studio. Although the list of staff members released is believed to be complete, fans can anticipate the reveal of more cast members as 2024 comes to an end and the 2025 release date for the series approaches.
Upcoming Anime ‘Headhunted to Another World’ Confirms General Release for 2025 in First PV
As stated previously, the upcoming anime Headhunted to Another World, also known as Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!, is scheduled to debut in 2025. However, no further details have been announced regarding its release, leaving fans uncertain about which season or specific date the series will air.
The series has officially announced the return of three key cast members who can be heard reprising their roles in the promotional video. These include Yuki Ono as Dennosuke Uchimura, Konomi Kohara as Ulmandra, and Akio Otsuka as the Demon King. Ono is most recognized for his portrayal of Josuke Higashikata in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, while Kohara is known for her role as Chika Fujiwara in Kaguya-sama. Otsuka, on the other hand, is best known for his performance as Shunsui Kyoraku in Bleach.
The anime at GEEK TOYS and CompTown studios is being directed by Michio Fukuda, with Seung-Deok Kim as the listed assistant director. The series scripts are being overseen by Hiroko Fukuda, and character design is being handled by Ayumi Nishibata. Takafumi Wada has been chosen to compose the music for the anime series. The Headhunted to Another World anime is based on the manga series of the same name, written by Benigashira and illustrated by Muramitsu. Originally released on Overlap’s Comic Gardo web manga service in December 2019, the manga has been translated into English by Seven Seas. The story follows the adventures described as:
“Dennosuke Uchimura is just an ordinary Japanese salaryman, until he’s sent to work in Vietnam where he dies in a hit-and-run accident. Uchimura is reincarnated and summoned to another world by the Demon King, who offers him a new job–as one of the Four Heavenly Kings of his army! Uchimura is faced with an offer he can’t refuse, but can he do the job?”
