Despite widespread belief among internet users, it has been revealed that the person they have been mourning for the last few days is not “Fat Cat.” The individual in the photograph is, in fact, a young elementary school teacher from Jiangxi province who goes by the name Yang Guoguo on Douyin (China’s equivalent of TikTok).
Currently, Teacher Yang has a total of 824,000 followers on his Douyin account. His page is filled with clips about teaching which he often shares. Despite his popularity, Teacher Yang continues to lead a normal and healthy lifestyle.
