Heartbreak for Pokemon Go player as girlfriend deletes account with over 150 shinies

A fight between a Pokemon Go player and their girlfriend resulted in the deletion of the player’s eight-year-old account, which reportedly contained over 150 shines and 30 hundos.

According to the famous Pokemon motto, “Gotta catch ’em all,”collecting all the Pokemon is a must. But for one unlucky Pokemon Go player, their eight-year-long pursuit of achieving this goal was abruptly ended when their girlfriend, in the midst of a heated argument, deleted their account.

According to a post on Reddit, the trainer took a walk outside to “cool off”after a heated argument with their girlfriend.

Upon arriving back at their residence, they were met with the unfortunate realization that their phone was missing and their Pokemon Go account had been deleted in a fit of anger. Losing progress in any game can be difficult, but for this devoted Pokemon Go player, it was especially devastating as they had invested years in building their Pokedex.

The player initially became a member of Pokemon Go in 2016. Later on, the trainer disclosed that they possessed more than 150 shiny Pokemon, 30 with perfect IVs, and had also invested a considerable amount of money into their account.

The initial poster confirmed that as soon as they returned home, the person regretted their decision and informed them of what they had done. The initial poster also sent an email to Niantic support immediately, but unfortunately did not receive a response.

Upon seeking advice on how to reactivate their accounts, other trainers promptly provided suggestions. While some discouraged them from contacting the game’s support team due to their unhelpfulness, others recommended reaching out to Pokemon Go influencers and requesting a repost and tag of Niantic.

It is not uncommon for a Pokemon Go player to feel completely lost after their account is deleted, as this has happened before. Considering Niantic’s strict stance on account recovery, it is safe to assume that this will continue to occur in the future.

According to the Pokemon Go website, it is not possible to recover or reactivate a deleted Pokemon Trainer Club account.

Despite having little hope for their account to be restored, the player has inquired about the possibility of developer Niantic reconsidering reactivating it, stating that it is disheartening to lose all the progress made.
