Thanks to multiple pop-up events happening throughout the UK this summer, fans are beginning to get a glimpse of what surprises await them in Heartstopper Season 3, including the appearance of a previously absent character.
Netflix has been taking their time with the teasers for Heartstopper Season 3, more than any of their other upcoming movies and TV shows. Fans have had to put in effort to solve puzzles and attend events in order to catch glimpses of the show, but their dedication has been rewarded.
A touring exhibit of Charlie’s bedroom is currently making stops at various locations in the UK, where each set offers a glimpse into exclusive content from Season 3. At the exhibit’s most recent event, attendees were surprised to spot Michael Holden, a character that has not yet appeared in the adaptation.
Fans who are familiar with Alice Oseman’s other works will recognize Michael as a key character in the book Solitaire, which revolves around Tori, Charlie’s elder sister. Given his significant role in the new TV series, it is no surprise that fans have been anticipating Michael’s appearance as well.

One fan took to X/Twitter to express their excitement for the new Heartstopper S3 clip featuring Michael Holden, exclaiming that it felt incredibly real.
Another person added, “Mikey God (Michael) Holden has arrived at the Heartstopper house, everyone!! And let me tell you, my boy is simply amazing.”
A third individual stated, “I am freaking out about Michael Holden, Charlie, and Tori Spring.”
Michael enters the group in Season 3 of Heartstopper as he visits the Spring family home to see Tori, but it is Charlie who receives a gift from him.
Handing him a porcelain cat that he stumbled upon at a charity shop, the stage is perfectly set to recreate one of the most cringe-worthy moments from the graphic novels – the two of them unintentionally meowing at each other.

As of this moment, the specific date of Michael’s appearance in Heartstopper Season 3 remains unknown. However, other sneak peeks have confirmed that the New Year’s Day party from Book 4 will also be featured.
