After the developers shared a simple meme online, players of Helldivers 2 are now engaging in wild speculation about potential new Stratagems.
The developers at Arrowhead, responsible for Helldivers 2, have consistently demonstrated their understanding of the game’s essence. By embracing the game’s role-playing elements, they have sparked fan theories ranging from flying insects to enigmatic extraterrestrial snipers.
The members of the Super Earth propaganda team are well aware of their audience, and once again they have succeeded in capturing their attention with a seemingly innocent meme that has led players to question and speculate.
The Helldivers 2 X account posted an image of a man torn between 2 Stratagems, using a format that has been proven to be effective. At first glance, the post may seem harmless, but upon closer inspection, there may be more to it.

Sharp-eyed followers of Helldivers 2 have observed that the two Stratagem buttons featured in the meme are not currently linked to any actions in the game. In typical Helldivers style, several have chosen to report the social media manager to the Ministry of Truth for revealing “confidential military information”.
Many are currently speculating about the possible nature of these new Stratagems. Initially, there was anticipation that they might be related to the recently leaked vehicles.
Regrettably, the players who were more knowledgeable crushed those hopes as they revealed that the specific combinations of the new Stratagem inputs indicated the presence of a backpack and a mine-like device, based on their initial movements.
According to one user, the initial item resembles a backpack, while the second appears to be a disposable emplacement.
After clarifying the question, the users in the thread appeared to believe that Arrowhead was requesting them to select which feature should be prioritized for addition in the game. Many commenters quickly suggested the obvious solution: “Why not both?”
