The coveted mechas from Helldivers 2 will finally join the fight for democracy, according to a message from the developers.
Mechs appeared in the first Helldivers game, functioning as single-use Stratagems that, in many cases, could help turn the tide of battle.
As a result, players were certain that the big robots would return for the sequel. And those hopes seemed justified when mecha-centric gameplay videos began circulating following a recent leak.
Developer Arrowhead has now put the speculation to rest, thanks to a brand new poster that confirms that the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuits will soon enter the ongoing fight.
Rejoice, Helldivers 2 players, the mechas are indeed on the way
With a poster straight from Super-Earth, the Helldivers 2 Twitter/X page announced that the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuits have entered “full production at the Tien Kwan factories.”
Helldivers can expect mech deployment to begin “soon.” However, no concrete launch date has been given yet.

Another unknown is exactly how mechs will work in Helldivers 2. Should players anticipate a Stratagem? Hopefully, Arrowhead will share specific details in the near future.
Regardless, the community is already ecstatic about this news, as evidenced by the responses to the Twitter post above. The comments are full of enthusiastic messages like “Let’s go,” for example. And, of course, countless other responses are just eager for release date confirmation.
The original Helldivers featured several different types of mecha. While the Exosuit EXO-44 Walker was equipped with anti-infantry homing missiles, the EXO-48 Obsidian had a devastating pair of 20mm autocannons. Meanwhile, the EXO-51 Lumberer was armed with a much larger cannon for heavier enemies.
Adding the EXO-45 Patriot would certainly help the cause, considering how many times Helldivers 2 ‘s soldiers had to resort to letting the enemy gain ground.
