The hallmark of Helldivers 2 is its intense action and monumental conflicts that seem straight out of Starship Troopers. The ongoing intergalactic war between the Terminids and Automatons provides an engaging narrative, particularly as entire planets can succumb to their invasions.
Nevertheless, the exceptional voice actors are an essential part of Helldivers 2’s ongoing storyline. Despite the widespread acclaim for the English cast, the Japanese dub of the game has also been highly praised by the gaming community.
Helldivers Alerts shared a clip from the official Japanese dub of the game’s announcement trailer on X. The clip quickly gained popularity, with the game’s community praising the “fantastic”dub.
One commenter wrote, “Helldivers 2 has become an anime,”while others asked about the release date for a Helldivers anime, saying, “That was great…when can we expect a Helldivers anime?”
Despite receiving clear praise from the community, there are still some who do not believe that the Japanese dub surpasses the English one. One player explained, “The Japanese voice actor is fantastic, but the original English dub was so well-executed that it still holds its own.”

Despite choosing to play Helldivers 2 with the Japanese option, players have discovered that the character screams remain in English. One Helldiver noted, “The character’s voice lines may be dubbed, but the screams remain in English, which is why I prefer to keep it on the English setting.”
Ever since its release, the English voice cast of Helldivers 2 has garnered significant acclaim from the community.
