Who are the Illuminists in Helldivers 2?
Originally, the Illuminists faction (called Kal’maar in their language) was present in the first Helldivers. They are a formerly aquatic, highly sophisticated and extremely powerful race who have mastered psychic and telepathic abilities in their daily lives, and even in combat.
In the previous game, they fought with nanotech and electrical weapons and posed a significant threat on the battlefield, making them formidable enemies.
Will the Illuminists faction come to Helldivers 2?
Currently, there is no official information regarding the arrival of the Illuminists faction in Helldivers 2.
However, fans are predicting that these beloved enemies will be the next big addition to the game after the arrival of the mechs. These guesses come from the fact that the faction is mentioned in Helldivers 2 and the empty space to the north and south of the game’s map.
Additionally, thanks to dataminers, some fans have spotted unused Stratagems in the game’s files, suggesting the return of the Illuminists. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean the faction will join Helldivers 2.
