Leaked footage of a giant Automaton has surfaced and it’s reminiscent of Star Wars’ iconic AT-ATs. Players who have seen the leaks are wondering how, in the name of sweet freedom, they are supposed to take this thing down in Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2 got off to a really good start with some popular post-launch content. And developers are even rolling out new enemies without informing players.
Mysterious blue lasers are seen everywhere. Flying Terminids have started appearing and attacking players. It is therefore impossible to know what awaits us in the game.
Also, a new leak has revealed a new type of enemy, this time for Automatons. Players will soon have to manage massive AT-AT-like mechanical walkers, armed to the teeth. This is the closest thing we’ve seen so far to a real raid boss.
Helldivers 2 players blown away by the leak of a future Automaton boss
Helldivers 2 already has some pretty tough boss enemies. Corrosive Titans, Chargers, Hulks and Tanks are hard enough to take down. However, there are no enemies yet that seem to pose a real threat.
With humanity winning on several fronts in the fight for Super-Earth, it was only a matter of time before opposing forces brought out the big guns.
For the Automatons, their asset appears to be a massive four-legged mecha. And the latter is reminiscent of the iconic AT-AT walkers from Star Wars.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, these walkers don’t even have an obvious weak point at this point. They even seem to dominate the Hulks and are armed to the teeth with different weapons.
They might have some weak points in their backs, like the Hulks. However, players are rightly wondering how they are supposed to kill an enemy like that.
With the previous Priority Order Terminide introducing a new mission type, there are chances that players will be tasked with taking down this raid boss in unique missions as well. But it’s difficult to say, if we take into account the number of surprises that the developers have already shared with us.
And if the developers’ teases are any indication, they’re sure to continue adding new content to test Helldivers 2 players.
