Despite offering a unique and intriguing gameplay experience, the Mech in Helldivers 2 has unfortunately become completely unusable due to a recent update.
The Stratagem known as Mech in Helldivers 2 is unlocked at level 25 and costs 20,000 Requisition Slips. Despite its enjoyable nature, a recent update has rendered it unreliable and nearly obsolete.
After its release, the Mech proved to be incredibly strong. However, a problem soon arose where the hitbox of the rockets would intersect with the Mech, causing premature explosions.
To address this issue, the developers implemented some solutions but ultimately resulted in the rockets becoming highly unreliable.
The Mech is currently not in a usable state and requires significant improvements. Firstly, its accuracy needs to be improved to ensure it can successfully aim and hit enemy targets. Additionally, the gun depression must be adjusted so that players can lower the missile arm by more than 15 degrees.
Ultimately, the tool should have a reduced vulnerability to small firearms. Unless significant revisions are made, it is evident that the Mech will continue to struggle in the game’s meta. Numerous members of the Helldivers 2 community have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Stratagem on Reddit, highlighting its impracticality.
Despite the developers not mentioning any plans to fix the Mech at the moment, with their consistent updates and changes, it is possible that we may see some adjustments in the near future.
