As of now, PC players of Helldivers 2 are required to link their PlayStation Network accounts to the game. If you do not have a PlayStation account, here is a guide on how to create one and how to link it with your Steam account.
As stated in the announcement on X by Helldivers 2, PC players will now be required to link their Steam accounts to PlayStation in order to continue their battle for democracy.
Despite its apparent simplicity, creating a PlayStation account can sometimes prove challenging. In order to successfully embark on your Helldivers 2 journey and seamlessly continue your fight for freedom, here is a step-by-step guide on how to set up a PlayStation account and connect it to your Steam account via the PlayStation Network.
Creating a PlayStation Account for Helldivers 2
Simply follow these steps to create a PlayStation account:
- Go to Sony’s Account Manager by clicking on the link here.
- Select “Create an Account.”
- Adhere to the steps that have been emphasized.
After completing these steps, you will have successfully created your own PlayStation account. The only remaining task is to connect it to your Steam account.
Linking Your Steam Account to the PlayStation Network
To connect your PlayStation Network account to your Steam account, just launch Helldivers 2 and wait for the notification to appear.
The game will provide a QR code and a link to the PlayStation Network log-in page. To link your PlayStation Network account to Helldivers 2, go to the sign-in page and enter your details.
As emphasized by Arrowhead Studios, starting from May 6th, players will need to link their Steam account to their PlayStation Network account. This will become compulsory by May 30th, so we recommend creating an account as soon as possible.
