Helldivers 2 – Planetary Dangers explained: Tornadoes, meteor showers,…

Helldivers 2 has launched its first balance update, and added Planetary Hazards to the mix. Here’s everything you need to know about this new mechanic.

Helldivers 2 update 01.000.100 has, among other things, resulted in the nerf of the best equipment in the game. Another change is the addition of Planetary Hazards.

The update added Planetary Hazards as a new threat to deal with when you land on certain planets to complete your missions. Here’s everything you need to know about them.

What are Planetary Hazards in Helldivers 2?

Planetary Hazards in Helldivers 2 are threats such as tornadoes and meteor showers that will appear during missions.

In the 01.000.100 patch notes, Arrowhead Studios described Planetary Hazards as “environmental challenges that will appear randomly while you’re deployed, such as fire tornadoes, meteor showers and more.”

The fight will get tougher with the arrival of Planetary Dangers

Helldivers 2 is not an easy game, but if you were looking for a little more challenge, you will be served.

At this time, we don’t know exactly what dangers have been added. However, we know that fire tornadoes and meteor showers are already present. And that already seems like a pretty good indication to us that the rest will be just as daunting.

The other thing that makes Planetary Hazards so dangerous, well, is the fact that they can appear at any time. This means you could be in the middle of a major fight or just about to finish your mission when a tornado appears.

Since this is a new addition to Helldivers 2, there is no real strategy to deal with it yet. Especially because we don’t really know what effects they will have on players or the environment.

However, we will keep you informed of the best ways to manage these Planetary Dangers to successfully complete your missions. We will therefore update this Helldivers 2 guide as soon as we know more.
