Helldivers 2 Players Demand Balancing of Unloved Stratagem

The Lance Stratagem is heavily criticized by the Helldivers 2 community, with many believing it to be particularly ineffective.

On Reddit, player Orthane1 started the discussion. “Guys, I’m so frustrated trying to get this thing to work, it doesn’t work at all and then when it does, it sucks.” He went on to express his frustration over the faulty gun lock. He concluded that the Lance is “objectively much worse”than the EAT-17 and RR launchers. Both of these weapons had been buffed following the Railgun nerfs to give players tools to take down big enemies.

In response to the post, one player said: “If you mark your target with A first, the lock-on is more reliable. But yeah, I agree, he definitely needs more development.”

Contrary to the original poster’s view, many players actually defended the Lance, although they acknowledged the lock-on flaws and hoped for improvements to ammo reserves.

“The lock needs to be fixed but other than that I think it’s great. I use it almost every game,” one player responded. Another said: “Yeah, the locking system is inconsistent, but when it works, my god, boss’s kiss.”

With Helldivers 2 in an unstable state due to numerous crashes, any weapon balancing involving the FAF-14 Lance is added to the list.
