Helldivers 2 players find this bomb “overrated”

Helldivers 2 players have claimed that the Eagle 500KG Airstrike is extremely disappointing and almost arbitrary in comparison to other Eagle Orders.

Helldivers 2 players must fight against immense hordes of terrifying galactic enemies in their goal to liberate the universe, which is no easy task.

The enemies players face do not go down without a fight and have evolved specifically to be extremely deadly in combat, so using regular weapons is almost futile.

Fortunately, players have an arsenal of Stratagems, extremely powerful forms of Support Orders, to support them in combat.

One of the most powerful Stratagems previously was the Railgun, which excelled at destroying enemy armor. It has since been weakened and players are now looking for the next meta ploy.

One of the schemes that players thought was undeniably meta left a lot of people disappointed, especially given how cool it looked. The 500 kg Eagle bomb.

Helldivers 2 fans say 500kg bomb is too weak

One fan shared his complaints on social media and even argued that it was a completely arbitrary airstrike:

“Controversial opinion: In my opinion, the 500 KG strike is the worst. For what she does, I don’t think she’s that effective in her role. In my experience, if you want to kill bile titans, use 110 rockets […] If you want to take out mobs of minions, go with the cluster bomb,” he argued.

Despite the fact that many others also thought the 500kg Eagle bomb was the “coolest looking airstrike” , they also found it extremely disappointing.

“She has a surprisingly small kill radius,” said one player. “She’s only worth using if you have the ship upgrade that allows you to have 2 uses,” another agreed.

Some disagreed that it was disappointing most of the time, but rather found the ploy “random”:

“The 500kg can be random. I killed 2 Titans with it just once. Another time, the 500kg got lodged in the back of a titan, exploded, and the titan survived.”

However, others believe that Helldivers 2’s ploy is effective at the job it was designed to do: high single-target lethality. Helldivers players can then mis-aim the airstrike, leading to only lightly hitting the target.
