Helldivers 2 Players Overcome Persistent Insidious Bug with Code Crack

The Helldivers 2 community has finally identified the source of a bug that has been present in the game since its release.

Players have been struggling with a persistent issue for months, where their characters would suddenly stop sprinting without any warning. Fans were left perplexed and unable to pinpoint the root cause of this frustrating problem.

Despite the possibility of change, a player of Helldivers 2 has recently uncovered the source of the bug and shared their findings on the game’s subreddit. Additional testing by other players has confirmed that the Redditor has successfully solved a mystery that has been puzzling the community for several months.

Is this the reason we randomly stop while sprinting? Thought I should screenshot this and bring more attention to it. byu/fuzzytentacle-senpai inHelldivers

The Redditor’s post highlights their extensive background in software development and includes their opinions on the numerous patches that Helldivers 2 has received.

The major revelation is not disclosed until the end of their post, when they finally reveal the cause of the sprinting bug.

“If you enter a game with a friend, purposely injure yourself to reduce your health to a quarter. Then, have your friend begin sprinting and use a stim. This will effectively prevent them from continuing to sprint.”

Despite the long-standing terror this problem has caused within the Helldivers community, this comment quickly captured the attention of people, motivating them to carry out their own tests.

Upon conducting these experiments, it appears that the theory is further supported by the feedback of one user who stated, “Initially, I was skeptical because this issue has been persisting since the beginning. However, after trying it out in a few games after reading this post, I noticed that every time I used a stim, my teammates’ movements would slow down in response.”

Other individuals appear to have successfully narrowed down the issue, as seen in a comment from another Helldivers 2 enthusiast: “When both players are on PC, the player using a controller does not experience a decrease in speed. However, when they switch to mouse and keyboard, they do experience a decrease in speed.”

Yep

The comment included a brief video clip demonstrating the impact on the keyboard player, while the controller player remained unaffected.

Despite not being officially confirmed, the testing results strongly indicate that the use of Stims is somehow responsible for the sprinting bug in Helldivers 2.
