Discussion on the topic was initiated by player NizzyDeniro who claimed that the player count for Automaton fights is around 50,000 compared to up to 400,000 for Terminides. So it’s clear that the majority of the community is intentionally avoiding fights against the Automatons.

This user theorized that the reason most players avoid Automatons is that they are “simply harder to fight, and they can kill you from a distance”, before stating that Automatons have a large arsenal such as “Rocket Devastators, Cannons, Mortsiers, Tanks, Rocket Troopers” which can all kill players in one hit.

Other users joined in the conversation sharing similar ideas. One user shared “Getting killed by rocket devastations seems really unfair. Plus, they’re supposed to ‘become less accurate if you shoot them’ but that’s definitely not the case.”

Another user added, “Automatons are harder because they shoot at you,”while one fan pointed out, “Our weapons don’t penetrate their armor very well.”This mode makes me feel like I can’t do anything except use ploys.”
