As a new month begins, players are once again able to participate in a fresh Warbond event in Helldivers 2. It has been nearly a month since the previous premium Warbond, Democratic Detonation, was introduced.
Polar Patriots is the complete opposite of Democratic Detonation, which focused on explosions and fiery planets. Its theme revolves around the polar regions. Below is everything that has been revealed for Polar Patriots, including its release date, new weapons, utilities, armor, capes, and emotes.
Helldivers 2: Polar Patriots Warbond – Release Date
The Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond is set to launch on May 9, 2024. According to the developers, the upcoming release will bring “a freezing onslaught to the galaxy.”
As implied by its name, Polar Patriots will include weapons, utilities, armor, and capes with an arctic theme.
New primary weapons in Helldivers 2
In Helldivers 2, we can expect to see the addition of three new primary weapons: the AR-61 Tenderizer, SMG-72 Pummeler, and PLAS-101 Purifier.
- The AR-61 Tenderizer is a powerful assault rifle known for its ability to tear through tentacles. Its high caliber ensures impressive stopping power, but its magazine size is limited, making it important to make each shot count. It is not recommended to use this weapon for unpatriotic “banter”shots.
- The SMG-72 Pummeler may have a slower rate of fire compared to other SMGs, but its concussive rounds are sure to leave your enemies dazed, confused, and still as unappealing as ever. Those who exercise patience as Helldivers will be rewarded with good things.
- PLAS-101 Purifier: Prepare the trap, then hold the trigger. As they charge towards you, maintain a smile. As they draw closer, keep smiling. And when they are within range, release the trigger for maximum damage. The longer you can remain composed and hold the trigger, the more devastating the results will be.
New Secondary Weapons and Utilities in Helldivers 2
Moving on to secondary weapons, we are limited to just one option – the P-113 Verdict. However, the Polar Patriots bundle offers two utilities: the G-13 Incendiary Impact and the Motivational Shocks.
- The G-13 Incendiary Impact is designed to be used quickly and without hesitation. Rather than reading the instructions, simply throw it at the enemy and immediately retreat. Upon impact, the device will explode and create a blaze of white phosphorus, so it is crucial to ensure that both you and your allies are not in the vicinity.
- The verdict on P-113 is highly praised by the R&D team. It is a gas-operated, semi-automatic lunpistol that can chamber the largest centrefire cartridge compared to others of its kind. Its nickname, “Rapid Deliberation”, reflects its ability to be quickly drawn and impress fellow squad members.
- Motivational Shocks: Serve as a jolt of inspiration to get Helldivers back on their feet after being hindered by deceitful assaults such as the disgusting bug acid vomit. However, they are not effective against widespread attacks like EMS strikes.
New Armor and Capes in Helldivers 2
Helldivers have a strong fondness for equipping new Armors and Capes, and the developers made sure to cater to this with the Polar Patriots Warbond.
- CW-36 Winter Warrior: Perfectly blend into snowy environments with camouflage, surprising the enemy with your stealth. They won’t see you until it’s too late. Enjoy the sweet smell of a successful sneak attack. Passive enhancement – Serve-assisted.
- CW-22 Kodiak: Has undergone rigorous testing by dedicated volunteers as part of the Super Earth Citizen Advancement Programme’s Test Subjects. Their selfless contribution will always be remembered. This results in a passive increase in fortification.
- The CW-4 Arctic Ranger comes equipped with a useful utility belt that has convenient pockets for storing various items such as pocket knives, souvenirs, unique rocks, Terminid tentacles, and pieces of bots.
Upon arriving at the capes, we will receive:
- Pinions of Everlasting Glory greatly increases the likelihood of being elevated to the esteemed ranks of the Super Earth Digital Archive of Valorous Acts, reserved for immortalized individuals.
- The Order of the Venerated Ballot is a Ministry-sanctioned Patriot’s Club for citizens who have pledged to protect the integrity of voting. Their emblem, adorned with the insignia of the order, symbolizes their commitment.
New Emotes Coming to Helldivers 2
In Helldivers 2, victory poses hold the same level of importance as capes. With the addition of Polar Patriots, players will now have access to three new emotes in the game.
