Despite already being difficult to handle, Helldivers 2 Stalkers have become even more terrifying with the latest update.
The patch notes released on April 29 for Helldivers 2 have caused quite a stir within the game’s community. Although the focus has been on the controversial ricochet changes and the usual adjustments to weapon strength, there is one alteration to enemy behavior that has caught the attention of the Helldivers 2 community in a more subtle manner.
Despite being a challenging adversary, stalkers have always been a formidable force to reckon with. Their exceptional agility and ability to camouflage themselves have made them difficult to detect. Unfortunately, the most recent update for Helldivers 2 has only exacerbated this issue.
Prior to the April 29 patch, Stalkers were easily spotted in fog due to a bug, which made them highly visible. However, this issue has now been resolved and Stalkers are now less noticeable while crawling through foggy environments.
With the addition of the invisibility fix and their already fast speed, Stalker ambushes have become even deadlier than before.

The cloak fix provides Stalkers with additional chances to suddenly appear in front of players and repeatedly stun them with attacks. According to one player, it is their top priority to eliminate Stalkers when encountered in a game. Not knowing the location of Stalkers on the map can be a major disadvantage.
Some people were also eager to emphasize the frightening nature of these creatures. Another Helldiver remarked, “A Stalker’s nest is undeniably more hazardous than the sudden appearance of 5 bile titans during a mission.”
While it can be challenging to handle cloaking changes, there are strategies you can employ to make Stalkers less intimidating. One option is to equip weapons such as the Punisher, which can immobilize Stalkers, and be prepared to deploy them immediately upon sighting the enemy.
When encountering a Stalker nest, it is important to quickly eliminate it using a combination of Stratagems and grenades. By following these straightforward suggestions, you can effectively eliminate large groups of Stalkers before they have a chance to ambush you.
