A developer for Helldivers 2 has acknowledged that Arrowhead is aware of an “undemocratic”exploit that allows players to easily farm Super Credits.
Helldivers 2 players on PC and PS5 have recently uncovered a cheat that enables them to acquire in-game currency through illegitimate means.
Upon obtaining Super Credits, PC users have the option to forcefully exit the game, while owners of PS5 only need to power down their hardware. The exploit allows players to retain their previously earned credits in Helldivers even after completing this step without finishing the mission.
After witnessing such unacceptable conduct, an individual took action and reported the glitch in the Helldivers 2 Discord. As reported by GamesRadar, the user mentioned Arrowhead’s Community Manager and revealed that there are tutorials on YouTube that detail how to exploit a game glitch to obtain Super Credits without any cost.
The Discord user emphasized the importance of taking their message seriously, stating that the use of the “illegitimate method”had a negative impact on both the community and the studio’s reputation.
It is reassuring to know that the Helldivers 2 crew is aware of the Super Credits exploit, as true champions of democracy will be pleased to hear. In a response, one Community Manager acknowledged this unethical behavior: “Hello! We understand and acknowledge this undemocratic conduct. Thank you for fulfilling your duty by reporting it. Hooah!”
This statement indicates that Arrowhead is actively working on a solution to eliminate the farming glitch from the game. However, there is currently no information on the release date for the update.
Despite the news, players who have utilized the exploit should not be worried. Obtaining Super Credits is not a difficult task. The currency can be obtained by completing missions and can also be unlocked by using Medals in the free Mobilize Warbond.
