A player of Genshin Impact has revealed a secret mechanic that transforms Amber into a powerful machine gun, enabling her to easily conquer challenging Spiral Abyss levels.
Despite being a playable character in Genshin Impact, Amber is often considered one of the weakest units. Our tier list even ranks her at the bottom of D Tier. Compared to other Pyro units, she falls short in terms of both damage and utility, making her less popular among players beyond the early stages of the game.
Despite the simplicity of the technique, one Genshin Impact player has discovered a hidden method that turns Amber into a formidable machine gunner. This lightning-fast mechanic not only enhances Amber’s viability, but also makes her a deadly force to be reckoned with.
The player shared a video on the official Genshin Impact Reddit page, showcasing their victory in Floor 12 Chamber 1 of the Spiral Abyss. Surprisingly, they were able to accomplish this feat solely with Amber, rather than using a typical team composition.
Despite the Pyro character’s intended playstyle of charging arrows before unleashing them, Amber effortlessly takes down all seven enemies during the clip with a continuous barrage of arrows. This serves as a direct contrast to how the Pyro character is meant to be played.

From the video, it is evident that the player relies solely on the normal attack button and does not use any charged shots. Although this may not be the most efficient method of defeating opponents, the increased attack speed is remarkable and allows Amber to easily conquer the entire floor by herself.
For those interested in trying out this secret technique, the skilled Amber player has provided a detailed guide on how to execute it. They suggest swapping the skill and normal attack button to make it easier for your index finger to perform the magic (by holding down the normal attack input for approximately 0.3 seconds). If you are using a PS5, you can also customize the controls further (such as using R1 to shoot and the left stick to dash), which is what the player personally does.
