Hidden “Impossible” Ending Discovered in Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7

One Baldur’s Gate 3 player has uncovered a new “impossible” ending introduced in Patch 7, and it’s quite intriguing.

The recent Patch 7 of Baldur’s Gate 3 has brought forth new evil endings, as well as official mod support. These endings allow players to engage in wicked deeds that were previously unattainable. YouTuber SlimX has revealed yet another hidden evil ending in the latest update.

This particular ending is marked with an “impossible” tag, akin to the buried Lae’zel ending, which cannot be achieved through standard gameplay.

Picture this: after your extensive journey to cure yourself of the tadpole and eliminate the brain, you suddenly experience a change of heart. Spoiler alert below.

By bypassing the “impossible” tag, this ending reveals your character standing among many others, similar to the beginning of other new evil endings. However, this time, you are presented with two additional choices.

The first option involves removing the tadpole and leaving with your companions. The second, more unsettling option, is to extract the tadpole and depart alone.

Regardless of the option chosen, the outcome remains similar: you exert all your strength to remove the tadpole. Based on your decision, your companions either leave the chaos with you, or you abandon them entirely.

While this may not be evil in the traditional sense of causing mass destruction, the act of leaving your companions, who trusted you throughout the game, feels particularly poignant and somewhat painful.

Ultimately, witnessing your character walk away from everything during the finale feels surreal; this might explain why such choices were not readily available in the original gameplay.
