As we approach the eagerly awaited Elbaf Arc in **One Piece**, the character of Prince Loki of Elbaf makes his appearance. Previously, he was only referenced as a suitor for Lola, the daughter of Big Mom. Interestingly, his design departs significantly from the mere silhouette we were presented with.
The Elbaf segment of the story is richly inspired by Viking themes drawn from Norse mythology. In this mythology, Loki is recognized as the God of Mischief, and his influence has extended to various forms of modern fiction, including the Marvel universe.
Loki, a notable character in Marvel, even stars in his own show on Disney+. Within this series, he is identified as Variant L1130, a version who is apprehended by the Time Variance Authority after breaking free from the Sacred Timeline. It’s either sheer luck or deliberate insight that the character in **One Piece** debuts in Chapter 1130.

Another enthusiastic fan on Twitter/X remarked, “There’s no way Oda isn’t doing this on purpose, either he’s exceptionally brilliant or extremely lucky, haha.”
This revelation has sparked significant conversation among fans, with one stating, “I believe it was somewhat intentional on Oda’s part. He likely noticed that the MCU’s Loki is labeled Variant L1130 and thought it would be an awesome nod for the chapter. Oda probably enjoys the MCU.”
