Despite fans believing that the characters in Netflix’s Hierarchy had moved on from the whodunit murder mystery, a post-credits scene reveals that everything has changed.
Kang Ha’s primary objective in enrolling at Jooshin High School is to uncover the truth behind his brother’s death and hold the elite accountable for their cover-up. The K-drama captivated fans with its combination of mystery, teenage drama, romance, and revelation of hidden secrets.
The conclusion of the K-drama sees Kang Ha and the other main characters uncovering the truth behind the death. Justice prevails and the ending is portrayed as a happy one.
Despite Kang Ha receiving his deserved justice, Jae-yi and Ri-an reconciled their past, and certain characters obtained their rightful retribution, Hierarchy’s post-credits scene completely shifts the narrative and sets the stage for a potential Season 2, requiring further explanation.
Hierarchy Post-Credits Scene Breakdown
While walking the halls, Kang Ha is spotted by Ri-an and the others, who then stumble upon a murdered student in one of the classrooms.
Despite the belief that Hierarchy’s storyline was resolved, some fans may have missed the post-credits scene. However, this scene suggests that Kang Ha’s revenge may continue beyond what was initially thought.
As Kang Ha strolls down the hallway with a mischievous glint in his eye, the scene unfolds to show He-ra dancing her way into class. To her horror, she discovers a student lying in a pool of blood. Soon after, Ri-an and several other students arrive at the gruesome scene.
As the clip continues, Kang Ha pulls out his phone and smirks at the contents on the screen. At that moment, Ri-an receives a text from an unidentified sender that reads, “You seem unsettled, Ri-an.”
The meaning of the post-credit scene remains unknown.

Despite the lack of visibility of the student’s face and information about their connection to the others, it remains unclear whether Kang Ha is the sender of Ri-an’s message or if it is simply a manipulation of camera angles.
The post-credits scene could have been altered to give the impression that Kang Ha had just left the classroom. Additionally, his actions of checking his phone could have been a deliberate diversion to mislead viewers into thinking he was the one who sent the text.
Currently, many fans are convinced that either Kang Ha or someone else is orchestrating chaos at Jooshin High School, with Ri-an being the intended victim.
Will there be a second season of Hierarchy?
Netflix has not reported any news about a potential second season for Hierarchy.
Netflix has classified Hierarchy as a limited series, consisting of only seven episodes. However, the post-credits scene suggests the possibility of another murder mystery.
Despite Kang Ha’s success in achieving his original goal and even exceeding it, it remains uncertain how he managed to do so. Through his determination, he was able to unearth all of Jooshin’s hidden information, leading to the capture and prosecution of his brother’s murderer.
As an insider, he dismantled the power hierarchy within Jooshin. The individuals in positions of authority who were responsible for keeping everything under wraps were brought down a notch, the bullies who tormented In Han were held accountable, and the main characters were able to find redemption through their own journeys.
It is possible that the second season of Hierarchy will center around a different hidden enemy who believes that Kang Ha did not adequately punish Ri-an and her companions. This individual takes matters into their own hands and devises a plan for revenge.
Fans will have to wait and see if Netflix has anything in store for the K-drama, as a new season may potentially delve into Jae-yi’s new life with her mother and the potential love triangle between Ri-an and Kang Ha.
Netflix offers streaming of Hierarchy, as well as other K-dramas with similar themes. Fans have expressed disappointment over the lack of chemistry in Hierarchy. Additionally, Netflix has announced their 2024 lineup and new series available for streaming.
