One player has found themselves constantly hugging Halsin due to an awkward yet amusing glitch in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Despite having been released in 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to have its fair share of glitches, despite receiving numerous patches. Due to the vast size of the game, with its multitude of quests, dialogues, locations, and hidden approval system, it is not surprising that such issues still occur.
Although certain glitches can greatly hinder gameplay, such as getting stuck or unable to teleport, players have also found that some can be harmless and even amusing. For example, one glitch in Act 3 causes the player’s character to become stuck in a hugging pose with Halsin.
The user shared a brief video clip in a Reddit thread, showcasing a dialogue with Halsin at the party in Act 3. In the clip, Halsin can be seen speaking to their character in a normal manner, responding to the chosen dialogue options.

Despite the expected pose, the player’s character was observed embracing the Druid so tightly that the model experienced some slight clipping.
The humor only intensifies when you observe them repeatedly embracing Halsin, pausing every few seconds before embracing him again. Although the user did not clarify how this glitch occurred, it is definitely a comical spectacle.
Upon witnessing this occurrence, a user remarked, “What a wholesome bromance.”Another individual went as far as to label it as “The Oak Father’s embrace.”
While Halsin fans may resort to triggering a glitch to fulfill their desire to hug him, there are also numerous Baldur’s Gate 3 mods available for download that provide the opportunity to hug and kiss characters at any time, including those who are not companions.
Be sure to select the correct character, as selecting the wrong one could result in creating the most terrible romance imaginable.
