Himawari could become Sarada’s Knight against Eida in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

It is apparent to fans that the characters in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga have each been given a specific role in the series. This can be seen through the Divine Trees, which have been targeting Shinobi based on their individual desires.

As a result, it appeared that Divine Tree Jura was originally pursuing Himawari Uzumaki because of the Kurama chakra within her. However, based on the latest findings in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, it is highly likely that Jura’s focus will shift to Boruto instead.

Despite the disappointment of many fans who felt that Himawari was denied the opportunity to have a significant battle, there is still hope for her in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga. In fact, her role was hinted at towards the conclusion of the previous manga.

This article includes spoilers from the manga Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

Himawari’s role in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex could be to combat Daemon

According to @NANA_Y4W, a Boruto fan on the now defunct Twitter platform X, there is a theory that suggests Himawari’s role may be to protect Sarada Uchiha. This is supported by the fact that Himawari wears a necklace with an 8-pointed star, resembling Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan in the series.

Taking this into consideration, @NANA_Y4W mentioned that Sarada’s character draws inspiration from Izanami, the goddess of death. According to legend, Izanami passed away and entered Yomi, the underworld. In his grief, Izanagi embarked on a journey to the underworld in the hopes of reuniting with her.

Sadly, Izanagi’s chances of returning were dashed when she consumed the food prepared in the underworld’s furnace.

Himawari’s character is believed to have been influenced by Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess. According to legend, Amaterasu was born during Izanagi’s purification ritual after he escaped Yomi. She is considered the most revered deity in Japan and is said to have sequestered herself in a cave, resulting in calamities for both the earthly and heavenly realms.

The Earth was enveloped in darkness as malevolent spirits ran rampant, much like the unruly Divine Trees wreaking havoc on the surface. In an effort to quell the chaos, the Gods attempted to convince Amaterasu to emerge from her cave.

Despite their initial failure, they eventually placed a sakaki tree known as “Cleyera Japonica” , sparkling jewels called “Magatama” , and fine white clothes in front of the cave. The center was adorned with a “mirror” .

Despite not having been shown with the Yata Mirror in her Sharingan, Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan suggests that she may possess it. Himawari’s ornament may represent a “magatama,”while the Cleyera Japonica tree on Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan eyes resembles the sunflower on Himawari’s clothing.

As a result of the chaos, Amaterasu emerged from the cave to investigate the commotion but was immediately captivated by her own reflection in the mirror. It was only when one of the other Gods pulled her out that light was able to return to the world.

According to @NANA_Y4W, the potential link between Himawari and Sarada may suggest that Himawari will serve as Sarada’s protector in the series. This is because, at the moment, it is clear that Sarada is unable to battle Hidari alone.

Furthermore, it is highly anticipated that Sarada and Himawari will team up to take on the cyborg siblings Eida and Daemon. The creator, Masashi Kishimoto, has hinted at a showdown between Sarada and Eida as Sarada’s immunity to Eida’s Omnipotence Shinjutsu has been established. As Eida prepares to face a formidable opponent, her younger brother Daemon is likely to serve as her loyal defender and fight in her place.

In the same manner, Himawari could serve as Sarada’s protector and confront Daemon. This theory is supported by the fact that in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generation manga, Daemon was able to detect Kurama’s chakra within Himawari.
