Himawari’s Powers in Boruto: A Comprehensive Guide

Fans have been eagerly asking just how strong Himawari is in Boruto ever since it was revealed that she is a Jinchuriki. In Chapter 10, it was revealed that Kurama had somehow been reincarnated within Himawari, effectively making her a Jinchuriki. This revelation has sparked much interest and speculation among fans.

In contrast to Naruto, Himawari gained Kurama’s complete cooperation right from the beginning. While the manga and older chapters have yet to fully disclose her capabilities, the latest chapter 11 preview allows for the compilation of a thorough inventory of Himawari’s abilities.

Note: This article contains spoilers for the Boruto series.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Himawari’s Journey to Prominence

Ever since her introduction, Himawari’s overall power level has been a source of debate among fans of Boruto and Naruto. While some of her abilities, natural talent, and potential were showcased in the early chapters of Boruto, her significance to the story only became apparent in the latest chapters of the Blue Vortex.

Throughout the latest chapters, Kurama has chosen Himawari as its new vessel. Although her abilities have not been fully revealed in the manga, she has already exhibited traits of the tailed beast chakra mode in her current state.

Fans have high expectations that she will fully unleash all the powers of a Jinchuriki, in addition to her natural abilities. As of now, Himawari’s power level is only surpassed by Kawaki, Boruto, and the Shinjus.

Normal Abilities of Himawari

Byakugan

Himawari, due to her Hyuga lineage, unconsciously triggered the Byakugan at the age of three in a fit of rage when her cherished toy was torn apart by Boruto. In the anime, her grandfather Hiashi openly commended her for awakening the powerful Dojutsu at such a young age. The Byakugan is a rare and formidable ability possessed by many esteemed members of the Otsutsuki clan in the Naruto universe.

Himawari has a natural ability to use the Gentle Fist taijutsu without consciously thinking about it. This allows her to inject chakra into an opponent’s tenketsu with great precision, resulting in internal damage or the manipulation of their chakra pathway system with minimal physical contact.

When Hinata used her Byakugan alongside Himawari, she observed that just one strike from her daughter was precise and strong enough to render someone unconscious for a full day, as demonstrated in the anime when she knocked out Naruto with a single blow.

Himawari’s Jinchuriki Abilities

Tailed Beast Bombs

Tailed Beast Bombs are undoubtedly among the strongest and most distinctive abilities utilized by both Jinchurikis and tailed beasts. They require immense amounts of chakra to be compressed into a spherical form, similar to a Rasengan. While the versions employed by Jinchurikis are comparatively smaller and weaker than those used by tailed beasts, they still possess enough strength to be classified as high-level jutsu.

Despite the official chapter not yet being released, a preview of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 11 unveiled that Himawari’s ability to use Tailed Beast Bombs. This came as a shock to fans, as it was previously believed that only Jinchurikis with extensive training could perform this technique in the original series.

Highspeed Regeneration

The ability to heal injuries has always been a crucial aspect of being an elite shinobi, and Jinchurikis possess a natural advantage in recovering faster than normal shinobi, as seen in the Naruto series.

The tenth chapter of Blue Vortex showed that Himawari had become a Jinchuriki, but it also showed Jura breaking one of her legs in order to control her. In chapter 11, it was revealed that Himawari could heal quickly, as she was able to stand upright and shoot a Tailed Beast Bomb at Jura despite her previously broken leg. This served as confirmation of her fast regeneration ability.

3) Enhanced Physical Performance

Despite being a descendant of both the Uzumaki and Hyuga clans, Himawari has consistently showcased exceptional abilities in the anime that surpass those of her peers. However, her physical prowess was further enhanced by Kurama’s involvement, as seen in Chapter 10 when she effortlessly broke free from Jura’s wood-style enclosure while in a partial-tailed beast mode.

Chakra Cloak

Despite not having a visible chakra cloak like her father, Naruto, Himawari’s hair standing up and her ability to concentrate chakra into the Tailed Beast Bomb serves as evidence that she is already utilizing Kurama’s chakra in a smaller form of the cloak. It is possible that in future chapters, she will be able to fully manifest a chakra cloak similar to her father’s.
