On Sunday, Park Jin-young, also known as JYP or J.Y. Park, the founder of JYP Entertainment, delivered a captivating performance of “When We Disco” alongside Sunmi on the TV show “KBS 2TV’s Tandara JYP.” The excitement reached new heights when former Wonder Girls members Sunye and Yubin joined them on stage, delighting fans in attendance.
Park Jin-young fondly praised the group, stating, “Seeing them again after the U.S. tour is heartwarming.” During their peak, both Park Jin-young and the Wonder Girls made significant contributions to the U.S. music industry.
In response, Sunye expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “It’s an honor to be here. You’ve celebrated your 30th anniversary showcasing your incredible talents, which have brought joy to our eyes and ears. I was profoundly moved by your performance.”
Park Jin-young hinted at a possible full reunion of the Wonder Girls, mentioning, “I didn’t gather all the members together on purpose. It would be a waste to do it here. There will be a day you won’t want to miss.”
He reminisced about a pivotal moment early in their journey, recalling, “After Wonder Girls’ debut, we had only two months left to pay our employees. I wrote the song that ultimately saved our company.” Park Jin-young, along with Sunmi, Sunye, and Yubin, also entertained the crowd with a medley featuring hits like “Tell Me,” “So Hot,” and “Nobody.”
