“Hitscan” MW3 Rifle: An Overlooked Meta Choice for Warzone Season 6

One of the most underrated rifles in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) actually boasts a “phenomenal” time-to-kill (TTK) in Season 6, making it worthy of consideration in the current meta.

The Season 6 update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is the last major seasonal transition before the anticipated launch of Black Ops 6. This newly introduced update features the exciting Haunting event and includes several weapon modifications.

Weapons from Modern Warfare 2 have received the most significant buffs this season, creating intriguing choices in the meta as we head into the final weeks, affecting both multiplayer and the battle royale modes.

Interestingly, some options from MW3 have climbed the ranks, despite not being directly adjusted. A prime example is the MCW 6.8, as highlighted by Warzone expert WhosImmortal.

“The MCW 6.8 has a phenomenal TTK, and this specific build achieves over 1500 velocity. It’s almost like hitscan at all ranges,” he articulated in his video from September 19. “If you’re accurate, you’ll rapidly eliminate opponents, even from significant distances.”

  • Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor
  • Lower barrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Optic: 2.5x Corio Eagleseye
  • Magazine: 60-round drum
  • Ammunition: 6.8 Wrath Spire Point rounds

However, it’s important to note that the MCW 6.8 is a semi-automatic rifle, which means it doesn’t match the fire rate of light machine guns (LMGs) or assault rifles.

Additionally, using the Bruen Heavy Support Grip as your underbarrel is crucial, as well as equipping the 6.8 Wrath Spire Point rounds. These components provide significant boosts to bullet velocity and power.

This combination of factors may explain why the MCW remains somewhat overlooked; according to WZRanked, this battle rifle is currently the 92nd most popular weapon in Warzone, which is quite astonishing considering MW3’s weapon options.

It definitely deserves its spot in the meta, so consider giving it a try!
