Now that Hogwarts Legacy is available on all platforms, fans are wondering if the game will have DLC in the future. Here’s everything we know so far about it.
Hogwarts Legacy is vast in its scope. However, that hasn’t stopped many wizards and witches from craving more content from Avalanche Software’s game. Those who have completed the main story and obtained all the Trophies and Achievements the game has to offer might especially wonder if there are any DLCs planned.
With plenty of spells to learn, magical creatures to find, and iconic locations to visit, there’s plenty of potential for DLC that could expand the game’s story and add even more exciting environments for players to explore.
Here is everything you need to know about the possibility of seeing DLC one day arrive in Hogwarts Legacy.
Are there DLCs planned for Hogwarts Legacy?
Hogwarts Legacy players hope that Quidditch will one day be added to the game.
At this time, there are currently no plans for DLC for Hogwarts Legacy. This news was announced during IGN Fan Fest, where game director Alan Tew made the following statement:
“We’ve been very busy bringing Hogwarts Legacy to life, so at the moment there are no plans for DLC.”
While this news will likely come as a disappointment to those who have already completed the game, it doesn’t mean that Hogwarts Legacy won’t offer DLC in the future.
The future of Hogwarts Legacy
One of the main points of contention among fans is that Hogwarts Legacy does not feature Quidditch. Although witches and wizards can fly on a broomstick, they cannot participate in the popular sport.
Future DLC for Hogwarts Legacy or even a sequel could add the fan-favorite sport to the game, which would make great additional content outside of open-world exploration. One leaker even noted that the size of Hogwarts Legacy’s map has been reduced by about a quarter, with the Highlands and Swamp having been removed.
The leaker revealed that these two locations could potentially be added as part of the game’s expansion or a sequel. Of course, as with all leaks and rumors, this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
