One of the first optional missions in the game is titled Gobs of Gobstones, and it centers around a student named Zenobia Noke and her lost Gobstones. Here is all the information you need to locate each Gobstone and whether or not you can use them in the game.
God of Gobstones sidequest in Hogwarts Legacy
Just like the rest of the sidequests in Hogwarts Legacy, players are required to engage with an NPC in order to start a new adventure. Specifically, you will need to speak with Zenobia Noke, a Ravenclaw student, who can be located by the stairs near the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower.
After all the conversations are over, you will be assigned the task of locating Zenobia’s 6 missing Gobstones.
All Gobstone Locations in Hogwarts Legacy
Although the minimap and Charmed Compass can give students a general idea of where Zenobia’s Gobstones are located, they may still prove to be elusive. Furthermore, the Accio spell is necessary for players to successfully complete this quest.
Gobstones can be found by players in the following locations:
Transfiguration Courtyard – Part 1
The initial Gobstone can be found in the Transfiguration Courtyard, positioned just outside the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower. It is important for players to stand in the exact position shown in the picture below while using Accio to retrieve this Gobstone, as this location can be temperamental.
Divination Classroom Floo Flame – Part 2
The second Gobstone can be found on the rafters next to the Floo Flame location in the Divination classroom. Once again, face the Gobstone and use Accio to retrieve it.
Divination Tower (3)
To locate the third Gobstone, make your way towards the ladder that leads to the Divination classroom. As you ascend the stairs near the Divination Classroom Floo Flame, you will spot it on a chandelier.
Ravenclaw Tower – Level 4
The fourth Gobstone can be found in Ravenclaw Tower. Students can easily locate the Ravenclaw Tower Floo Flame and then proceed down the hall while keeping an eye out for the decorative rafters on each archway.
Outside the Trophy Room (5)
The fifth Gobstone can be found atop a window located just outside of the Trophy Room. After lighting the Floo Flame in the Trophy Room, turn your attention to the window on the left to spot the Gobstone resting on its top.
Inside the Trophy Room (6)
The last of the six Gobstones can be found on a shelf in the Trophy Room. Enter the Trophy Room directly from the Floo Flame and before leaving through the opposite side, pause and turn left to see the nearby shelf where the final Gobstone is located.
Hogwarts Legacy: God of Gobstones Sidequest Rewards
After gathering all 6 Gobstones, it is necessary to go back to the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower and have another conversation with Zenobia.
Although she will request that you return the Gobstones to her, the game will allow you the choice to either return them or keep them for yourself.
Regardless of which option you select, you will receive the same rewards: XP and the Orbicular-Violet, a handle used for customizing wands.
Playing Gobstones in Hogwarts Legacy
Regrettably, similar to the fact that students are unable to play Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy, you also won’t have the opportunity to compete in Gobstones matches against other students.
Although Hogwarts Legacy does not allow players to play iconic wizarding games such as Wizard’s Chess and Exploding Snap, they can still observe various students participating in these games throughout the castle.
