VTuber Ookami Mio has been hospitalized for an extended period of time to receive medical treatment, causing her to miss several upcoming events for Hololive.
The Hololive X/Twitter account made an announcement stating that [Ookami Mio] has been diagnosed with a condition that requires long-term treatment. The VTuber agency also reported that she was hospitalized on April 28 (Sunday) due to her declining health.
The VTuber agency cited “privacy protection”as the reason for not disclosing the name of the disease affecting Mio. They also confirmed that Mio’s condition is improving, but she will still be unable to attend two upcoming events.
Due to her hospitalization, Ookami Mio will not be able to attend the upcoming events.

Mio personally addressed the situation, expressing her regret for having to share disappointing news at a major event. She apologized to all those who had been eagerly anticipating the event.
She continued to elaborate that although she had initially hoped to recuperate in time for the events, her condition turned out to be more severe than anticipated. Despite her intention to push through and attend the event, Hololive management urged her to take a break and focus on recovering.
Similarly, Ookami Mio expressed her deep frustration in the same post and continued to apologize to her fans for being unable to fulfill her commitments.

Despite Mio being unable to attend, three VTubers from Hololive, namely Shirakami Fubuki, Nakiri Ayame, and Tsunomaki Watame, will still be representing the company at MUSIC VERSE Fes.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Mio’s return, the fan response to this news has been overwhelmingly positive. Both fans of Hololive and Ookami Mio have expressed their well wishes for a speedy recovery and have encouraged her to take all the time she needs.
