Minato Aqua confirmed this herself, tweeting on her X/Twitter account, “I will be graduating from Hololive on August 28th. I will continue to give my all until the very end, so I hope you will continue to support me. Let’s make this summer one to remember!”

This tweet sparked a wave of tribute from other Hololive members towards Aqua, including Ookami Mio, FUWAMOCO, Shirogane Noel, and even Tokino Sora, all of whom expressed their appreciation.
Not only were her work colleagues impacted by the news, but also numerous fans who were equally moved. One particular viewer expressed, “Sending lots of love to Aqua!!! It’s painful, but I’ll do my best to bid her farewell with a smile.”
Some also joined in with their surprise, commenting, “Definitely not what I expected to come across on my timeline tonight,”and “Wow, amidst all the happy events this month, this sudden sad news is truly shocking.”
Aqua’s graduation is a significant milestone in Hololive’s history, as she is only the third Japanese member to graduate and the first from the 2nd Generation. While some members, like Yozora Mel and Uruha Rushia, were previously terminated, it is uncommon for Hololive talents to voluntarily leave the company.
