Imaginary characters have proven to be valuable assets in Honkai Star Rail combat for a multitude of reasons. Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of each Imaginary character featured in HoYoVerse’s anime RPG.
In team compositions, incorporating imaginary users can be extremely advantageous due to their ability to activate the Imprisonment effect. This effect can be used to delay an enemy’s actions and inflict extra damage after exploiting their weakness.
Initially, Honkai Star Rail featured just one Imaginary character named Welt, but as time passed, more characters of this element were added to the roster.
Included below is a list of all the available Imaginary characters in the gacha game, along with a brief description for each one.
Luocha
Luocha is focused on healing his allies while still providing some decent damage output
- Rarity: 5-star
- Path: The Abundance
Luocha, a foreign merchant, journeyed to Xianzhou Luofu with a coffin in tow. Utilizing his unique ability, this healer can replenish the health of his comrades by 40% of his ATK plus 200. Additionally, Luocha’s collection of Abyss Flowers will automatically heal a fellow teammate if their health falls below 50%.
Apart from its healing properties, Luocha’s Ultimate has the ability to eliminate a single buff from all enemies and inflict Imaginary DMG equivalent to 120% of his ATK.
World
Welt is focused on debuffs, making the enemy much slower and giving his team more opportunities to attack
- Rarity: 5-star
- Path: The Nihility
Being on the Nihility path, he prioritizes debuffing enemies. His expertise lies in slowing down and delaying their actions, providing his team with increased chances to strike.
With a 100% success rate, his Ultimate, Synthetic Black Hole, effectively traps enemies with the Imprison debuff, which not only reduces their speed but also delays their actions. In addition to its significant damage output, his Ultimate has the power to turn the tables in any battle.
Yukong
Players can obtain Yukong for free in Honkai Star Rail as part of the 1.2 update.
- Rarity: 4-star
- Path: The Harmony
Yukong holds the position of Helm Master in the Sky-Faring Commission of the Xianzhou Alliance. As a member of the Harmony Path, her ability boosts the ATK of all allies by 40%. Furthermore, her Ultimate not only inflicts Imaginary DMG on a single enemy, but also enhances all allies’ CRIT Rate by 21% and CRIT DMG by 39%.
Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae
- Rarity: 5-star
- Path: The Destruction
Imbibitor Lunae is the Imaginary version of Dan Heng, and serves as the High Elder of the Luofu. This character possesses a multi-faceted attack system, with his Skill allowing him to enhance his Basic ATK up to three times in a row. In addition, Imbibitor Lunae’s Ultimate unleashes a 3-hit attack that deals Imaginary DMG equal to 180% of his ATK to a single enemy.
Dr. Ratio
- Rarity: 5-star
- Path: The Hunt
Fortunately, Honkai Star Rail had previously granted players a complimentary version of Dr. Ratio. This particular character is highly proficient in inflicting damage to a single target while being a part of The Path of The Hunt. Additionally, he has the ability to deliver subsequent attacks that increase in potency depending on the amount of debuffs on an enemy.
Description of Aventurine
- Rarity: 5-star
- Path: The Preservation
Aventurine is a highly rated character who excels in providing Shields to the entire party. Additionally, he has the ability to deal additional damage after his teammates perform follow-up attacks or are attacked by enemies. As a result, Aventurine is a valuable asset when paired with party members like Topaz and Dr. Ratio, as Topaz can enhance the damage of follow-up attacks and Dr. Ratio can further increase their effectiveness.
Trailblazer
- Rarity: 5-star
- Path: The Harmony
As players advance through the Penacony storyline in Honkai Star Rail, they have the opportunity to unlock the Imaginary version of the protagonist. The Imaginary Trailblazer follows the Path of The Harmony and specializes in providing Break Effect buffs. Additionally, Trailblazer’s Ultimate has the ability to increase the damage dealt to Weakness Broken enemies.
March 7th
- Rarity: 4-star
- Path: The Hunt
On July 30, 2024, March 7th will obtain an Imaginary form that follows the Path of The Hunt. This alternate version can be unlocked by completing the upcoming Trailblaze Continuance: March to Mastery: A Star is Born. According to rumors, March 7th’s kit will focus on strengthening Basic ATKs, however, more details will be revealed upon her release.
