Honor’s First Flip Phone with Jimmy Choo Design and World’s Biggest Cover Screen

Honor has revealed its inaugural clamshell foldable smartphone, boasting an incredibly competitive price point, a stylish design by fashion icon Jimmy Choo, and the largest and most vibrant cover screen on the market.

Honor, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has recently unveiled a new foldable device that closely resembles Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5 in terms of form factor. The company has a strong presence in the foldable market, previously releasing one of the thinnest book-style devices.

The latest addition to Honor’s phone lineup is the Magic V Flip, a flip phone that boasts impressive specifications and is considered one of the top foldable options available. Its standout feature is the 4-inch LTPO OLED cover screen, which surpasses the 3.4-inch display found on the outside of the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

The front screen boasts impressive specs such as a resolution of 1,092 x 1,200 pixels (405 ppi), a 120Hz refresh rate that can automatically adjust to the content being displayed, and a maximum brightness of up to 1,600 nits (making it the brightest cover screen on any flip phone to date). It also utilizes 2,160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming technology.

One of the main standout features of this smartphone is its stylish design, available in Iris Black, Camellia White, and Champagne Pink. For those looking for a unique touch, there is a limited-edition Jimmy Choo version that showcases green glitter reminiscent of the designer’s iconic shoes and adorned with crystal ornaments.

The phone is incredibly slim, measuring 7.15mm when unfolded and 14.89mm when folded shut, with a weight of 193 grams. Honor is providing additional accessories that can transform the phone into a “watch, bag, etc.”

Additionally, the Honor Magic V Flip offers a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a rear camera system with 50MP+ 12MP, and storage options of up to 1TB.

The Honor Magic V Flip, which starts at 4,999 yuan for the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is only available in China at the moment. Its pricing indicates that it could potentially rival the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, which is priced at $999.
