1. What To Expect From The Rest Of House Of The Dragon Season 2?

In order to satisfy Rhaenyra’s desire for revenge against Aemond, Daemon enlists the help of his former lover and skilled spy, Mysaria, also known as White Worm. Together, they recruit two unlikely allies – a former butcher-turned-guard known as Blood, and a rat-catcher known as Cheese. Despite their incompetence, the duo successfully infiltrates the Red Keep while Aemond is away, but their plan is ultimately foiled by the arrival of Aegon’s son.

The season 2 trailer shows Aegon discovering Daemon’s plan along with Rhaenyra. As expected, he reacts with fury upon hearing the news of his son’s death and declares war. Furthermore, Rhaenyra also does not condone Daemon’s actions as it will ultimately harm their cause by alienating potential supporters.

After the death of Lucerys, Rhaenyra and the Blacks claimed the moral high ground over the Greens, asserting that their future actions would determine the outcome of the Dance of the Dragons – whether it would be characterized by restraint or retribution.

Therefore, Daemon’s reaction of “a son for a son”will not only escalate tensions, but also intensify the existing animosity between them.

The season 2 trailer offers glimpses of the military strategy for the Dance of the Dragons. As Aemond emphasizes, armies are crucial in addition to Dragons, and according to Criston Cole, a key strategist for the Greens, controlling Harrenhal will be crucial in the upcoming war. Harrenhal, one of the most formidable castles in all of Westeros, is located in the Riverlands and is within close proximity to King’s Landing.

This would establish it as a crucial stronghold with strategic significance for the impending conflict. The death of Jaehaerys triggers the full escalation of the Dance of Dragons, making the second season of House of the Dragon truly significant.
