House of the Dragon viewers debate Season 2’s portrayal of the civil war as manipulative.

Two episodes have passed and tensions in the Targaryen civil war are only increasing. However, there are some fans of House of the Dragon who believe that Season 2 is showing favoritism towards a particular side.

Despite the ongoing Greens vs Blacks war, House of the Dragon Season 2 continues to deliver an epic display of old-timey rivalry.

Following two episodes, viewers have noticed subplots involving Blood and Cheese, as well as the deaths of twins Arryk and Erryk. However, many fans believe that there is a larger scheme of “manipulation”at play.

Despite the potential focus on Alicent and Christon’s relationship, many believe that the ongoing civil war is portraying Blacks in a more positive and favorable manner compared to the Greens.

One fan posted on Reddit, expressing their belief that the show was fairly balanced until now. However, after watching Season 2 Episode 2, they could now see the bias. They noted that every scene in this episode portrayed Greens in a negative light and Blacks in

Another individual also concurred, stating, “I have been expressing this viewpoint since the first season was aired. It is not the major, standout scenes that are often used to determine the quality of a show, but rather the subtle nuances such as the music, the dynamics between characters, and the moments where a character is shown lost in thought while gazing into the distance, that reveal any underlying biases.”

“Season 2 continues to raise the bar, just as it always has.”

After watching the first two episodes, it is possible that House of the Dragon Season 2 is portraying Rhaenyra as a victim rather than an equal aggressor. Throughout the episodes, she is shown denouncing heinous actions while leading the council and in private.

Furthermore, sister Helaena is currently experiencing the most difficult time imaginable. Since the prophecy of “son for a son”did not come to fruition, she has been mourning the loss of her youngest child, which has naturally caused her to have more empathy towards one side.

“Another fan commented, “It’s almost as if they took inspiration from all the takes by tb stans and included them in the show.”They also predicted the funeral would be portrayed as propaganda, and while they expected some of that, they were surprised by the extent of it.”

Although the exact outcome of Season 2 is uncertain, it is expected to align with Rhaenyra’s conquering of Kings Landing. This could possibly justify the favoritism towards the Blacks over the Greens.

One fan summarized, “I have a feeling that after Rhaenyra conquers King’s Landing, the show will include a scene where she bonds with Heleana, solidifying her image as a saint.”

The HBO series House of the Dragon Season 2 is currently airing. Additionally, there are other new TV shows available for streaming this month.
