Though Jujutsu Kaisen has concluded, its impact reverberates worldwide. The series has captivated audiences with its distinctive character lineup, especially the formidable antagonist, Ryomen Sukuna, who has garnered significant admiration from fans.

Sukuna’s character, along with his powerful abilities, has left a profound mark on followers of Gege Akutami’s work. Among his skills, the Domain Expansion known as Malevolent Shrine has gained particular fame. Recently, fans have drawn connections between this domain and the Knife Angel, a striking sculpture created by artist Alfie Bradley at the British Ironworks Centre.

The Knife Angel, positioned in England, has sparked interest among Jujutsu Kaisen enthusiasts due to its conceptual resemblance to Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine. Crafted by artist Alfie Bradley in collaboration with the British Ironworks Centre, this majestic sculpture took four years to complete, spanning from 2014 to 2018.

Designed to address the rise of knife offenses in the UK, the Knife Angel serves as a poignant reminder aimed at educating younger generations about knife-related violence. Standing at an astonishing 27 feet, this sculpture is composed of nearly 100,000 knives and came at an expense of around £500,000, using blades confiscated by law enforcement. Families affected by knife violence were invited by Bradley to engrave messages on the knives.

Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine operates similarly to the chaotic slashes produced by blades. Within this domain, Sukuna executes his signature techniques, Dismantle—which acts as his primary ranged attack to decimate Cursed Spirits and sorcerers—and Cleave, which adjusts its power based on the opponent’s strength and Cursed Energy levels.

Diving deeper, some fans speculate that if a tornado were to strike the Knife Angel’s vicinity, it could evoke a scenario akin to Malevolent Shrine. Just as Sukuna’s Domain unleashes numerous cutting attacks, the knives from the statue could be dislodged and propelled into the air by the fierce winds. This creative parallel draws intriguing connections to the animated artistry of Sukuna’s abilities.

The ferocity of Sukuna’s domain is on full display during the battle with Gojo Satoru, where Gojo faces a relentless stream of slashes that devastate the environment. The lethal nature of the Domain is amplified as the slashes adapt, leaving opponents unable to mount an appropriate defense against Dismantle and Cleave.

Fortunately, it’s essential to remember safety during severe weather conditions. In the event of a tornado, individuals are urged to heed warnings and evacuate to safety. The ideal refuge would be a basement or storm shelter. If those options are unavailable, finding a low area to lie down while protecting one’s head, away from trees and debris, is advisable.
