However, the appearance of Dabi’s mother, Rei Todoroki, in the issue’s concluding scenes was entirely unanticipated.

The family coerced the main branch to sell off their children in arranged marriages in an effort to maintain the purity of their blood. Concerning the development of quirks, he adds that because powers have been so well-developed and mixed, some people may actually possess latent abilities.
A cut to the Gunga battlefield follows, where Endeavor is given an update on the Dabi situation. Despite suffering severe injuries in the All For One fight, he continues to fight Dabi, but all he sees when he looks at Dabi is a young Toya asking for praise before being attacked. This goes on for a while until Dabi gets close enough to Endeavor for the latter to notice that Dabi’s body has activated Frost, Rei’s Quirk, as a result of the stress of the circumstance.
In My Hero Academia, Endeavor recognizes his contribution to the birth of Dabi while reflecting on his life. He says that he must atone for the harm Dabi has done to everyone, even his son. After giving Dabi a bear embrace, Endeavor soars into the air as if he were about to murder him. But just as Endeavor is about to pass out from the heat as the chapter comes to a close, none other than Rei Todoroki herself appears and uses her Quirk on Dabi’s flames.

Geten explains that he was descended from the Himura bloodline in the aforementioned spoilers and raw scans for chapter 387. This is something that many fans have been guessing about for a long time, but has only lately been proven, given his ice-based Quirk. He also reveals that the Himura family’s demise was caused by a combination of their desire to maintain their blood purity and prejudice against Quirks.
Geten Dabi would then be his first cousin once removed as a result. This is because the two belong to different generations. Theoretically, Geten’s grandparents would be Dabi’s great-grandparents. The fact that Geten’s age is unknown makes it more difficult to connect him to Dabi, yet it seems more likely than not that the two are first cousins once removed.
