How Fortnite Players Used Warzone Logic to Solve Solo Queue Issue

Fortnite players have been brainstorming ways to introduce a Solos queue into Fortnite Reload and have taken inspiration from Call of Duty: Warzone.

On June 22, Fortnite Reload was introduced and quickly became the most popular mode among players, surpassing other modes such as Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite, and both Battle Royale game modes in terms of player count.

Despite the mode’s evident success, one issue remained to be resolved: upon release, Fortnite Reload was limited to squads only, leaving numerous players without a team to join.

The game’s design presents a challenge for implementing a solo mode, as the concept allows players to continuously respawn as long as a teammate remains alive. Without the presence of a teammate to sustain them, it raises the question of how respawning would function.

Many Fortnite players resorted to Reddit in order to discuss a potential solution to the issue of there not being a solo queue in Fortnite Reload.

One of the main suggestions from the comments was that, since Fortnite Reload takes inspiration from Warzone, it could potentially incorporate Warzone’s solo mechanics. The proposal suggested incorporating a timer system, as suggested by the original poster.

Upon spawning, all players have a fully completed timer, ensuring that they will immediately respawn upon death. The timer will then begin counting down upon respawn and can be accelerated by either opening crates or eliminating other players.

The timer starts at 15 seconds and progressively increases throughout the game. This encourages players to make more aggressive moves, while the alternative system encourages a more cautious approach during the timer countdown. This was stated by the top comment in the Reddit thread.

Despite the availability of filling squads, players have strongly voiced their desire for additional queue types such as duos, trios, and eventually solos. In response to this feedback, Fortnite will be introducing a new queue for Reload duos on June 27.

There have been rumors of a possible trios mode coming to Fortnite Reload, but there has been limited discussion regarding the potential availability of solos.
