The live-action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender is coming to Netflix soon. How many episodes will be broadcast?

Aang and his friends will soon make their comeback, this time in a live-action version for the streaming giant. Adaptation of the 2005 cartoon, Avatar: The Last Airbender has been a long time coming since its announcement, but it won’t be long.

In its drive to create live-action remakes of animated classics, Netflix was indeed interested in Avatar. The new series is ambitious, and is supposed to match One Piece, whose bet had been successful in view of the numerous spectators who had followed the adventures of a very human Luffy.

And while the impatience of Netflix subscribers reaches peaks a few days before the release of Avatar: The Last Airbender, another question arises: how many episodes are there in the series in live-action?

The live-action Netflix series Avatar: The Last Airbender has eight episodes in total.

The streaming giant will not change its good habits: all episodes will be broadcast at the same time on February 22, 2024, allowing viewers not to wait for a weekly release.

The cartoon, for its part, has three seasons of 20 episodes each (21 for the last). Note that the latter is also available on the Netflix catalog, for those who cannot wait for the series in live action.

As for the summary, that of the live-action version hardly differs from the original Nickelodeon animated series: “This live-action adaptation of the cult animated series follows Aang, the young Avatar, as he learns to master the four elements (water, earth, fire and air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation.”

Fans who say they are worried about possible changes compared to the original series, particularly concerning problems of sexism concerning certain characters, will finally be able to form an opinion.
