The release date for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is approaching, bringing with it a fresh selection of maps to discover. Here is all the information you should be aware of regarding the upcoming maps.

Throughout the history of the Call of Duty franchise, maps have been a topic of intense debate. The viability of a map for competitive play, its suitability for 6v6 matches, and the number of lanes it contains are all crucial elements to consider.

Despite the game’s release date being set for October 25, 2024, there is limited information available about the maps, including their names and locations. Nonetheless, the number of maps that will be included has been revealed, providing a glimpse into what the upcoming year will entail.

How many maps does Black Ops 6 have?

Upon release, Call of Duty Black Op 6 will feature a total of 16 maps. These maps will be split into two groups: 12 will fall under the Core 6v6 category, while the remaining 4 will be classified as Strike Maps.

Strike maps are available for both 6v6 and 2v2 game modes, while the core maps do not have support for 2v2 matches.

At the time of writing, the identities of these maps have not been disclosed. However, it has been confirmed that they are all original, unlike MW3’s strategy of recycling previous map designs. Nearly all of them, at least.

A significant Black Ops 6 leak has disclosed a comprehensive roster of potential maps, including several fan favorites. However, with a total of 20 maps listed, it is likely that not all of them will be available upon the game’s release.
