How many players are currently active in Monster Hunter: World? June 2024

Even six years after its initial release, Monster Hunter: World continues to gain popularity. As of June 2024, here is the number of players currently enjoying the game.

Despite being released almost seven years ago, Monster Hunter: World continues to have a massive player count and remains the biggest title in the franchise by far. As the highly anticipated MH Wilds is set to release in 2025, it appears that World will continue to carry the franchise this year.

As of June 2024, the number of players who have logged into Monster Hunter: World can be seen below.

Monster Hunter: World Player Count on Steam (June 2024)

According to Steam Charts, as of writing, there are currently 61,944 players in Monster Hunter: World, with a 24-hour peak of 72,635.

Since its surge in popularity in December 2023, the game has consistently maintained a monthly average of over 30,000 players. Since May 1, 2024, the game has maintained an average of 33,236 players.

It is important to note that these numbers only represent the PC players who use Steam. If we were to take into account the console player population, the total player count would exceed this number significantly.

Despite the complexity of accurately calculating the total number of players across all platforms, according to activeplayer.io, the Monster Hunter series has an average monthly player count of 5,640,5111, with a staggering 1,522,938 players playing the game on a daily basis, across all platforms.

Capcom’s Return to World campaign online has been a major contributor to the recent surge in popularity, likely one of the most significant factors after nearly seven years. Additionally, the developers have offered the game at its lowest price point ever multiple times since December 2023, attracting a large number of players.

With the release of a new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, it’s likely that numerous players will feel the urge to return to World until other highly anticipated titles come out.
